Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix is the Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was an athletically inclined child and developed a passion to sprint at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her initial attempt, she finished 2nd in the 200-meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished her high school year in 2003 and signed with Adidas an agreement as professional athlete. In the following year, she was a student at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently in the top three of athletes in her respective events.
