Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix had an early aptitude for sports when she was in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic ability at the at the time. At her first attempt, she placed among the top two athletes in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix completed her high school education and was signed to an official contract with Adidas. In 2004, she was enrolled at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic prize at the 2004 Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s, setting the new world junior record. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to win the 200 meter race. She defended the title by beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third in each of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
