Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish model and actress. Her birth date was 11th November, 1966. After making her film debut with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to appear as a Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan is in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody began her modeling career after her being approached by a hopeful photographer. The career she pursued has transformed into commercial modeling. Doody was adamantly against glamour and sexually explicit work. This was a policy was extended to her acting career. In 1985, after being noticed by the directors who were casting an upcoming James Bond new film, Doody took a small part in Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was named as one of 12 Promising New Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Still only 18 at the time she acted in the role Doody was - and remains the youngest Bond girl who has appeared in a film. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke also had a performance by Doody, playing IRA Siobhan. Doody was an actress in silent films in the 1987 version of The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. Then she took her biggest role yet in the film Taffin as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indy's father. In the year 1991, Doody co-starred opposite Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the published fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. Then, she moved to Hollywood. She played Flannery as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody's return to the big screen came in 2003, when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. Her roles included the TV movie version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004, a booklet about the Holocaust as well as the short film Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody was part of Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). She guested in RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was later shelved. The year 2011 saw her debut on the first of two seasons on the E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014 she starred in We Still Kill the Old Way. The Almeria the tierra de film prize was given to her on November 21, 2018. She also received one of the stars on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
