Steve Aoki
Steve Aoki was created in Miami, Florida
on the 30th of November 1977. American electro-house musician Record producer,
D.J. Music executive. He is the third child of Chizuru and Rocky Aoki's kids.
His father was a former wrestler who also founded the restaurant chain
Benihana. There are two siblings who are sisters Kana who is frequently known
as Grace due to her middle name Grace, and brother Kevin (owner of Doraku
Sushi). The half-sister of his is Devon Aoki, a model and actress. He was born
in Newport Beach, California & graduated from Newport Harbor High
School in 1995, where he played on the team for badminton on the varsity. He
went on to UC Santa Barbara, graduating with two B.A. He graduated with two
bachelor's degrees, one in feminist studies and the other in Sociology. He
produced DIY records and hosted underground shows from his Biko room in the
Santa Barbara Student Housing Cooperative when he was in college. The Pickle
Patch was born as a concert venue. He was active with student activism and
created a Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist League section on campus. He had
already started an independent record label when he was in his 20s. It was
named Dim Mak and was named for his idol from childhood Bruce Lee. He dropped
I'm IN THE HOUSE, an album that was co-written with the Zuper Blahq, the
alter-ego of will.i.am. The song charted at the top of the charts at No. 29 on
the U.K. Singles Chart in its 1st week of release. The track later made it into
the U.K. Dance Chart & the U.K. Indie Chart, placing in the top 5 on
both charts. The song was featured in an episode of MTV's Jersey Shore. It also
was featured in Piranha, the feature film Piranha and also in the trailer for
Think Like A Man. In a May interview with HitQuarters Lucas Secon, the producer-songwriter
confirmed that he and Rivers Cuomo had just worked on an album. Pollstar
identified him as the top-grossing North America dance artist from tours in
2012 His collaborations include artists like Afrojack, LMFAO and Linkin Park,
Will.i.am. Lil Jon, Blink-182, Laidback Luke. BTS, Louis Tomlinson. Rise
Against. Vini Vici & Fall Out Boy. He is well-known for his remixes of
artists including Kid Cudi.
